Denis Sezomin, director of construction and production organization at Akkuyu Nuclear, confirmed that the nuclear power plant built with Rosatom technologies in Turkey is already significantly contributing to the development of the Turkish economy. RIA Novosti reports on this today, October 10.
The expert is confident that Turkish companies become more promising and competitive with the help of cheaper electricity. The economic effect has already been noticed in Silifke, Tashucu, Buyukedzheli and other settlements.
“The experience of Turkish manufacturers is growing. The equipment and materials necessary for the nuclear industry are characterized by higher quality requirements. This means that Turkish companies are increasingly competitive in the global market and can count on participating in projects for the construction of other nuclear power plants.” — says Denis Sezomin.
In addition to Türkiye’s GDP, the commissioning of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant will affect the development of human potential and infrastructure: “I will give you a simple example: according to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Silifke district, since the beginning of the construction of the nuclear power plant, around 1,000 new companies have been created working in the industry, services and infrastructure sectors. .”.
