The mayor of Tudela, Alexandre Toqueroshowed his indignation at what he considers a “shameful disregard” of Ribera by the spokesperson for Bildu, Adolfo Araizwho in one of his interventions in the Parliament of Navarra this Monday called for the request for execution of the A-15 (Tudela-Madrid highway) Because, as he said, “we can now go from Alsasua to Madrid and from Pamplona to Madrid by highway.”
Toquero defined this intervention as “an absolute lack of respect” not only for the banks of the river but for all of Navarra, because “this project is, with the Navarre Canalone of the two strategic ones for the Regional Community.
In this sense, the mayor of Tudela stated that “Bildu still does not understand what the structure of this land is; we are already very late and Navarra needs this project to be carried out and it is not that the issue of vertebration continues to be used as a posture for their gatherings and conferences. In the same sense, he criticized the tone and “contempt” with which Araiz referred to Tudela and La Ribera, alluding to an alleged “riberacentrism“.
“I know that for Bildu, Tudela and La Ribera are second-rate Navarre, but you could hide a little and not despise us so blatantly in the house of all Navarrese, which is the Parliament; having lost even the most basic rules of decorum with our regionwith its needs and its inhabitants”, responded the mayor of Tudela, emphasizing that “it is more obvious than ever that any party or government that agrees with you means regression, it means blocking projects, it means going to against progress. Tudela and Ribera They don’t deserve this and they still don’t understand that Navarra doesn’t deserve it either. We are a small community that has insisted on division and confrontation. And the Socialist Party, from its point of view of moderation, looks at them impassively sitting in its presidential chair,” he concluded.
