Algeria’s electoral commission has announced that the country’s current leader, Abdulmajid Tebbou, has been re-elected president.

According to Algeria’s electoral commission, Tebbun won more than 94 percent of the vote. His opponents, Islamist Abdulali Hasani Sherif and socialist representative Yusif Ausish, won 3 and 2.1 percent of the votes respectively.
It should be noted that the presidential elections were held in Algeria on September 7. According to the Electoral Commission, less than 6 million of the country’s 24 million voters participated.
