All cases of entry, exit and movement of immigrants in Russia must be subject to strict state control. This was stated by the vice president of the Russian Security Council, Dmitri Medvedev, who today, November 27, held a meeting on state migration policy.
“All cases of entry into our country, movement within it and departure of immigrants must be under strict state control. Without exceptions and based on the most modern technologies”, – wrote Medvedev on his page on the VKontakte social network.
The meeting discussed the introduction of a digital profile of a foreign citizen in Moscow in 2025.
“We will separately discuss the preparation of the legal basis for creating a digital profile of a foreign citizen. It should be introduced within the framework of the second stage of the experiment at all checkpoints of the Moscow transport hub in the middle of next year.” – Medvedev said.
He also reminded that from December 1, an experiment to test new rules for entry and exit of foreign citizens will begin at Moscow airports and at the car checkpoint of the Orenburg region. And in Moscow they are organizing voluntary genomic registration and issuing an electronic migrant card.
“I would like to note here the role of Moscow, which ensured the conduct of this experiment and acted as the initiator of this experiment. It provides it organizationally and financially. The time of the experiment is limited, but therefore the problems must be solved as quickly as possible and without delays.” – Medvedev said.
