The city of Cordoba will become the World Heritage Capital next week, as the headquarters of the World Congress of the Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC), which this year will focus on “Liveliness in Historic Centers.” The inauguration will take place Monday 23 with a inaugural concert, by the Cordoba Orchestra, in the Cathedral Mosque, where Beethoven’s 9th Symphony will be performed.
They will participate in this important event more than 120 cities of the 300 in the world which have heritage properties recognized by UNESCO.
At the same time, Cordoba will host a series of free activities for citizens of all kinds for whom it is necessary to register in advance.
