Elnur Mammadov, his relative Samir Asadov and Jasur Huseynov, suspected of illegal drug trafficking, were detained during the operation carried out by officers of the Gabala district police department.
From the Sheki regional group of the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). Oku.AzIt was reported that 2 kilograms and 300 grams of marijuana and methamphetamine were found in them.
The detainees said they were involved with drug couriers and agreed to transport drugs to the city of Ganja in exchange for money.
A criminal case has been opened in relation to the incident and preventive measures of arrest have been decided for each of the detainees by court order. Investigations are ongoing.
