One of the lesser known monuments of the Community of Madrid is the Vegetable siloa polygonal tower built in 1928 that dominates the landscape of Huerta de la Salud, a former recreational farm.
In the 19th century it served as an agricultural and industrial complex for grain collection, but from that time only the old silo has been preserved. Now it has become a building dedicated to exhibitions and cultural events.
Its location means that very few people know about it, but from its top floor you can enjoy the best views of Madrid. The upper floor can accommodate around 100 people and it is amazing how much you can see from up there.
The Vegetable Silo has seven floors and a height of 20 meters. So, from the top floor you can see elements as diverse as the Adolfo Suárez Airport, the Cuatro Torres or a large part of the Madrid mountains.
The most incredible thing of all is that you will be able to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Madrid. It won’t cost you a euro. Access is free for all visitors.
