Almost unlimited combinations and destinations for this summer

For a perfect summer, many would perhaps like to have the super power to teleport from their home to that beach bar where they already visualize themselves having an aperitif with their feet stuck in the sand; forget about traffic jams and the only way out during your vacation is from the water to the hammock. Easy, comfortable and fast.

Through an ambitious series of alliances, it has made the combination of different means of transport – train, bus, boat, plane, car and urban trains – a reality that began with 150 routes, but it already reaches 700 travel optionsallowing passengers to be transported to places where high speed is not yet present.

Revolutionize the way you move

This multimodal project is called iryo Conecta and this summer began its second phase with more connections that will allow travelers to reach new tourist destinations. This is possible thanks to the new agreements that the company has signed with transport leaders such as Vectalia and GNV -Grandi Navi Veloci-.

With Vectalia, iryo develops its line of action Connect the bus with which it was proposed also takes travellers to towns on the Alicante coast where the train does not reach. This is the case of Santa Pola, Gran Alacant and Los Arenales del Sol. But not only. And throughout these months, destinations within the province will also be added. In this way, these passengers will be able to travel beyond the stations and will do so comfortably, since details have been taken into account such as, for example, the use of stops near said stations to minimize travel times.

The agreement with the shipping company GNV made iryo the first rail operator to offer travellers the possibility of reaching the islands of Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza through the sale of rail and ferry connections.

“The goal of iryo goes beyond connecting point A to point B. We want to become a reference in multimodality in Spain, offering our travelers the possibility of traveling from door to door, adapting to the needs of each one,” summarizes Simone Gorini, CEO and general director of iryo.

On rails, yes; but also by sea, road and air.

The alliances with Vectalia and GNV are added to the four lines of action with which the company launched iryo Conecta at the beginning of this year: Connect the plane, Connect Taxi and Parking, Connect the car And Connecting urban trains. All proposals with which the high-speed company manages to reach more destinations or, once there, to facilitate the journey of its travelers.

Thanks to Connect the planethe combination of high speed with airplanes is possible, allowing the connection of routes such as Cordoba-Cancun or the possibility of traveling from a destination to cities such as Miami, New York, Mexico, São Paulo or Buenos Aires.

In fact, the agreement between iryo and Air Europa is also underway which allows the acquisition combined train and plane trips on the airline’s channels. Easy and fast: a single purchase that merges the connections offered by iryo in the 11 cities where it operates with the 54 destinations of the airline.

In the case of Connect the carmultimodality was born from the agreement with AVIS. Thanks to this, the leading car rental brand offers exclusive benefits to members of the iryo loyalty program, Club meas 15% off vehicle rentals, including electric and hybrid vehiclesand an exclusive rewards program that allows each time a club member reserves a vehicle with AVIS, to receive a cash back 2% of the value of each rental.

iryo also thought about that moment when the traveler has arrived at the station, but still has the way to his home or accommodation. To make it comfortable and without waiting, it was developed Connect Taxi and Parking in collaboration with Imbric, a taxi aggregation platform. This allows users book a taxi or a parking space at train stations simply by creating an iryo profile on this platform.

And no, it couldn’t be missed. Connect Urban Trains, an alliance by which all iryo tickets give access to these trains in any of the 11 origin and destination cities where it runs four hours before the train departs and up to four hours after its arrival – it also includes the Rodalies services of Barcelona -. In addition, it is not necessary to have a ticket to do so: thanks to the joint work with ADIF, the turnstiles for accessing the trains are capable of reading iryo tickets.
