Also via Yandex? Cult rock band cancels concerts in Kazakhstan and Georgia

British cult rock band Placebo has cancelled its shows in Kazakhstan and Georgia. The band announced this on their social media page in a post.

In Kazakhstan, the group was scheduled to take part in the Park Live Festival, which will take place in Almaty from 6 to 8 September.

“There are indirect and compelling reasons for this, beyond the professionalism of the organisers, which we were unable to resolve.” — the musicians explain at length.

The concert in Tbilisi was scheduled for September 12.

The cancellation of the show in Kazakhstan “made it logistically impossible to perform in Tbilisi.”

“We sincerely apologize to all our fans in Kazakhstan and Georgia for the cancellation at such a late stage. We also sincerely apologize to those of you who were planning to travel from afar.” – the musicians highlight.

Placebo said he hopes to return to both countries in the future “when possible.”

As reported EADailyIn early July, British rock band Editors announced their refusal to participate in the Park Live Festival. The musicians directly explained that they actively discussed participating in the festival in Kazakhstan, but decided to refuse to perform after receiving information about the sponsor of the event. The festival is sponsored by the Russian company Yandex.
