The Data Protection Agency (AEPD) fined the MEP 5,000 euros Alvise Pérez for publishing a photo of Minister Óscar Puente’s daughter when she was 17 years old.
The sanction announced by the consumer association Facua comes a month after Data Protection imposed another similar one on the director of EDAtv, Javier Negre.
The AEPD, in its resolution, imposes this sanction of 5,000 euros on Alvise and “permanently” forces you to delete this image published on the Telegram channel.
Data Protection argues that the “intentional” publication of Oscar Puente’s personal data – his image – implies “the possibility of immediate and large-scale dissemination of the content”.
And the publication of this photo was followed by numerous messages questioning the relationship between Puente and the minor, hiding that they were father and daughter: “A circumstance that implies greater seriousness in the criminal behavior due to the consequences that such comments may have on the claimed portion,” the resolution states.
The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, mentioned this sanction during his appearance before the Senate Commission of Inquiry into the Koldo affair, when he criticized a PP senator for having displayed a photo in which we could see his daughter. “By the way, today a professional bullfighter one of your loved ones was convicted for posting photos of my daughter,” Puente said.
