MEP Luis Pérez Fernández, better known as Alvise Pérez, tried this Tuesday to pose as the coordinator of the advanced command of Paiporta to gain access to the Vera sports pavilion of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) where about three hundred members stay. of firefighters and emergency personnel moved to Valencia to deal with the consequences of DANA, according to the regional newspaper Levante-EMV and The university confirmed to elDiario.es.

The leader of “The party is over” presented himself on November 12 around 10 p.m. at the UPV pavilion and assured that his intention was to visit it to “check the state of the facilities and that everything was correct”.

This Wednesday, in the “news of the day” that the MEP periodically publishes on his Telegram channel, Alvise Pérez declared that the socialist councilor Carmen Alcíbar, member of the UPV and who collaborates as a volunteer at the pavilion, had expelled him when “He was about to plan the delivery of hot meals” and that “those affected by DANA and police volunteers” had asked him “for help and hot meals.”

However, as this newspaper learned from UPV staff, the almost 300 rescue workers and firefighters sent to Valencia to help the victims of DANA and who sleep in this pavilion receive daily hot meals for breakfast and dinner.

After the publication of the Levante-EMV information, Alvise Pérez made a new publication on his Telegram channel in which he attached a video in which an unidentified woman is heard asking for “hot food” for the people present in this pavilion and adds staff. Instagram account of socialist councilor Carmen Alcíbar and an email address accusing her of “leaving the people housed in this pavilion without hot food”.

The MEP Pérez, who at no time reveals having tried to pass himself off as the head of the advanced command of Paiporta, claims on his social networks that he was expelled when he was identified and because he was going to help these people. Later, he described as fake news the information from several media outlets revealing that he had tried to pose as the person responsible for coordinating the emergency in the city of Paiporta, as university sources confirmed to elDiario .es.

The vice-rector of the UPV calls for an end to the harassment campaign

The vice-rector of Communication and Internationalization of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, José Francisco Monserrat, published a long message on the social network (formerly Twitter) in which he said he was “extremely concerned” by the “harassment campaign” launched against the official after the MEP’s accusations and tried to clarify the situation.

Montserrat insists the university appreciates “any support” for volunteers, but asks that any collaboration be announced and coordinated in advance to avoid interfering with the rest of the staff being relocated to Valencia. Likewise, he asks for respect for the privacy of these workers and explains that the UPV must avoid recording images without their consent.

He also describes as “unacceptable” the launch of a campaign of harassment against a civil servant because of her membership of a specific party as well as the dissemination of personal data.
