The Center for Control and Prevention of Diseases in the United States announced on Wednesday that the country witnessed the worst year of flash of measles over more than three decades, a total of 1288 cases throughout the country, and in 2025 there were six months.

The center said that the number of cases at the country’s level exceeded 1274 cases that were registered throughout 2019, adding that the country almost loses its position as a country free from this disease, which can be prevented by vaccines. This can happen this year if the virus lasts without a break for 12 months.

Outbreaks of the disease began this year, some of which are interconnected, five months ago in societies that suffer from low vaccination in West Texas. Three people, two children in Texas and an adult in New Mexico, died, while dozens of people were transferred to hospitals.

Public health experts claim that a real number of cases may be higher than the state health departments announced.

North America testifies to other main outbursts of measles, where 2966 cases were registered in XIWA, Mexico, 2223 cases in Ontario, Canada, and 1230 cases in Albert, Canada.

There are also outbreaks of the disease in 12 other states in the United States, namely: Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Canas, Michigan, Montana, New Mexico, Northern Dakota, Akalamaoma and Utah, while four other states witnessed the end of the disease.

It should be noted that the vaccine against the “vaccine against measles, mumps and measles” is 97 percent in the prevention of measles after receiving two doses.

In 2000, the World Health Organization announced the complete elimination of measles in the United States.

“What we observe for measles similar to an“ early sign ”or a warning about the inevitable danger,” said Lauren Gardner and Covid -19, an independent database of Data at John Hopkins University.

Gardner added that “an indication of the problem that we know about its vaccination positions in this province, and I think it will be worse,” added Gardner.
