In the zone of special military operations (SVO) in Ukraine, the Russian army killed the famous American mercenary Nick Duckworth.
This was reported yesterday on his Telegram channel by the war correspondent, Hero of Russia. Evgeniy Poddubny. According to him, Duckworth died in the direction of Zaporozhye when his car was overtaken by a Russian FPV drone.
The military correspondent responded that in the summer of 2023 the mercenary was lucky: he was able to survive a missile attack by the Russian Armed Forces against the temporary location of militants in Kramatorsk.
“So both Nick and his fellow “volunteer colleagues” attempted to frame the attack as an attack on a civilian target. But the facts are stubborn, our guys covered the command staff of the 56th motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and, at the same time, foreign mercenaries who settled in a local hotel.” – Poddubny emphasized.
Previously EADaily reported that the Russian army, during combat operations in the area of the Northern Military District, is increasingly using FPV drones, which are controlled not by a radio signal, but by an optical cable.
According to sources on the ground, this new product has become a real nightmare for the enemy, as it completely renders electronic warfare protection equipment useless.
