An armored cash transport van was attacked on Thursday, October 10, in the center of Grenoble, the Isère prefecture reported. “There are two minor injuries linked to road accidents caused by the event and broken glass”declared the Grenoble prosecutor in a message to the press.
The attack took place after 10 a.m. at an intersection in the city center, the prefecture reported on X Street. “At least two vehicles blocked” the armored cash van, and there was a “exchange of gunfire” between the money transporters and the attackers, who then fled, a police source told Agence France-Presse (AFP).
In videos and images spread on social networks, we can see the front cabin of a white truck on fire, in the middle of the road. “Police and firefighters are on the scene”specified the prefecture of Isère.
The investigation is being carried out by the division against organized and specialized crime, announced the Grenoble prosecutor.
