A magnitude 5 earthquake has been recorded in the Vanj district of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of Tajikistan, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reports.
According to seismologists, the epicentre was 18 kilometres from the city of Khorog, the administrative centre of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of Tajikistan. The depth of the tremors was 30 kilometres.
No damage was reported as a result of the earthquake. There are no reports of casualties.
