A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck the island of Luzon, southeast of Batitanga in the Philippines. This was reported on November 27 by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
According to the research organization, the origin of the earthquake was at a depth of 182 kilometers and was about 120 kilometers from the Philippine capital, Manila.
No tsunami threat was declared and there were no reports of destruction.
