An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 occurred overnight off the eastern coast of Kamchatka in the Pacific Ocean, reports the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
“The distance from the focus to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is 102 kilometers. Depth 47.6 kilometers under the seabed. The magnitude at the epicenter is 5.5. The intensity of the sensations in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is three points.” – reported the service.
No tsunami threat was declared. There are no victims or destruction.
