On the sixth day of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku, an event called “Supporting youth participation in the digital climate revolution”.
Oku.Az reports that speeches were given by Leyla Hasanova, Dorin Michel, Fidan Javadova, Meri de Vsiochki and Kestutis Kupsis
The event explored how digital solutions intersect with climate action, especially emphasizing youth participation as the main driver of innovation and change.
“As digital technologies transform our approach to the climate crisis, young people are becoming vital change agents using digital tools to promote sustainability, monitor environmental impacts and strengthen climate action,” the event stated.
The event featured cutting-edge digital platforms, applications and AI-based solutions that enable young people to participate in climate initiatives, from data-driven advocacy to real-time environmental monitoring.
