An event dedicated to Victory Day called “Eternal Heroes” was held

Baku State University (BSU) and the public union “Zafar” supporting families of martyrs organized an event called “Eternal Heroes” dedicated to November 8, Victory Day.

The wife of martyr Lieutenant Colonel Raguf Orujov, president of the Public Union of Support for the Families of Martyrs “Zafar”, in her speech to Sevinj Orujova, said that she was proud of our heroic soldiers and officers who died on the way to the Homeland. , that their way of life is an example of patriotism for the younger generations, and noted that the organization of events is of great importance to present our heroes and perpetuate their memories.

Leyla Musayeva, head of the Department of General Linguistics of BSU, academician Nizami Jafarov, martyr of the Patriotic War, martyr graduate of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology of BSU, Leyla Musayeva, wife of the martyr Lieutenant Colonel Nail Orujov, second-year student year of Nigar Agamaliyeva, Dean of the Faculty of Philology of BSU, Alamdar Jabbarli, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Document Management, spoke about the war path of our martyrs and said that their dear memory will always live in the hearts of our town. The speakers asked the youth to learn from the heroes who fought and died for the country and to keep their traditions alive.

Then the performance of the group “Hijaz” took place under the direction of composer Eyvaz Hashimov. Musicians Nahida Eminova, Fuad Eminov, Niyamaddin Allahverdiyev, Elnur Huseynov, Azad Yusubov and conductor Abdulgani Aliyev participated in the presentation of the composition. The song “We are children of heroes” was performed by the choir made up of children of martyrs. The composition and lyrics of the song belong to Konul Huseynova, wife of the martyred Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Atakishiyev, a professor of art history.

At the end of the event, an artistic program prepared by employees of the BSU Cultural and Creative Center was presented.
