Speaking at the event, the head of the regional executive branch, Rafig Guluyev, noted that state attention to education increases year after year. Thus, according to the state program, almost all schools and kindergartens located in the region are fundamentally renovated to modern standards, sports fields are built, sports equipment and physics and chemistry laboratories are provided. All this indicates once again that the attention and care given to education by the great leader Heydar Aliyev is in the spotlight today.
When referring to the results obtained, the head of the Executive Branch highlighted that our region has always achieved great achievements in the field of education. The last academic year can be an example of this. Thus, out of 3,259 people who applied to enter higher schools in the 2023-2024 academic year, 2,408 people obtained the student title. 61 of our graduates obtained more than 650 points. This number was 17 last year. Nine of our graduates graduated from the school with a gold medal, and one of our graduates entered the higher school as the winner of the Republican Scientific Olympiad. Furthermore, this year, children of martyrs and veterans were also admitted to various universities with good results. Among those admitted this year to higher schools are also four children of martyrs and two veterans of our region.
The head of the executive said that the complex measures implemented in Azerbaijan in recent years related to the development of science and education, comprehensive care for education workers, indicate the determination to see the future of the State more reliably. and safe. In addition, the work done to increase the salary of education workers, reward them, award them honorary titles, strengthen social protection of teachers, construct and put into use new school buildings in accordance with modern standards is a clear example of The fact that the development of education in Azerbaijan is one of the priority directions of state policy.
