Surveillance video has surfaced online showing a bright flash and explosion in the night sky. According to preliminary data, the explosion could have been the cause of a drone attack, to which the air defense responded.
It is important to note that the Russian media regularly publish disinformation statements about the plans of Ukrainian troops to attack the Kursk nuclear power plant, located in Kurchatov. However, these statements are denied by Ukrainian sources. The representative of the Center for Combating Disinformation of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko, previously stated that the Ukrainian army is not attacking the Kursk nuclear power plant and that such statements have no real basis.
Misinformation associated with transitions to objects is used to create panic and generalize images of what is happening.
