This Thursday, the pilgrim image of the Virgen de los Desamparados began its journey through the municipalities of Valencia affected by DANA, a month after the flood. The image moved on Thursday through Paiporta, Picanya and Torrent, integrated into the XII Archpriest “Mare de Déu del Popul”.
As the archdiocese indicates in a press release, after visiting the parish of La Inmaculada de Paiporta, the Virgin left for the parish of San Ramón, where the Rosary and a supplication for the deceased were recited.
This Friday, after a farewell mass in Paiporta at 12:00 p.m., the tour of the Virgin through the streets with the “Maremóvil” will leave at 2:45 p.m. for Picanya, where it will tour the municipality. The virgin will then head towards Torrent and subsequently the image will be carried, either on the shoulders or in the Maremóvil, to the esplanade of the Fuente San Luis, where another moment of prayer will also take place and of memory of the deceased.
Then the Mare de Déu will be transported to the Maremóvil through the polygon to the Xenillet bridge, with prayer and remembrance of the deceased, then it will be taken to the parish of Buen Consejo, where the farewell mass of the visit will take place . celebrated around 8:00 p.m.
