In Spain, a local businessman has launched an unusual service: canceling weddings for money.

He offers couples who are hesitating on the eve of their wedding an effective way to avoid an unwanted marriage. For 550 dollars (about 935 manats), he is willing to take part in the ceremony, pretend to be the bride or groom’s lover and then “run away” with her.
It has been reported that a man may fight or hit the “deceived” side to be more convincing. Each shot costs an additional 50 dollars (about 85 manats).
Despite the morally controversial nature of the service, demand for it is high: the “wedding brawler” schedule is already fully booked until November 2.
“Many people have doubts on the eve of their wedding, but they cannot say no. I give them the opportunity to avoid an unwanted marriage without having to give long explanations,” said the businessman.
