An Irish mercenary, former special forces soldier Robert Deegan, was killed in the Northern Military District area – Irish Times

During the fighting in the Northern Military District, the Russian army killed an Irish mercenary, Robert Deegan, who was fighting on the side of the kyiv regime.

According to The Irish Times, the 29-year-old militant previously served in the elite Irish Rangers unit in his homeland. At the time of his death, he had significant combat experience in Ukraine.

The agency reports that the Irishman was fatally wounded while covering the withdrawal of his unit from an area where fighting with Russian troops was taking place. However, the specific location is not named.

The material also claims that the mercenary had already been wounded in battles in Ukraine; he had previously lost an eye as a result of an explosion. However, after the hospital, Deegan returned to fighting for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
