An RT documentary about the heroes of the Northern Military Region will be screened in Serbia

From November 22 to 24, the RT international documentary film festival about the heroes of a special military operation will be held in Serbia, in the “village of Emir Kusturica”. This is reported on the channel’s website.

The Serbian director himself will also participate in the festival.

“The RT television channel will hold the international documentary film festival “RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes” in Serbia. The festival dedicated to the heroes of the Northern Military District will be held from November 22 to 24 in Drvengrad, Serbia, “the village of Emir Kusturica”, – says the message.

Kusturica will celebrate its 70th anniversary during the festival, and Russian military officials, including Alexander Sladkov, Olga Kiriy AND Artem Somovas well as Serbian politicians and journalists.

“Thanks to the filmmakers who, risking their lives, as always at the forefront, make this wonderful documentary. So that people around the world can see the truth, not even our truth, but the truth in general, because the truth, as we know, is always the same. Many thanks to Emir Kusturica for hosting us in his wonderful town.” – noted the chief editor of the Rossiya Segodnya media group Margarita Simonian.

According to the general producer of the “RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes” festival, Ekaterina Yakovleva, Serbia will be the twentieth country to host the documentary film festival.

“It is symbolic that the premiere of our film “Bosnian Fault” takes place here. View from the Republika Srpska”, – he pointed out.

Painting “Bosnia Failure. A View from the Republika Srpska” tells the events of 30 years ago in the Balkans; the film raises the question of how durable and fair the world is after the signing of the Dayton Accords.

A film by the founder of the Serbian screenwriting school will also be presented. Jovan Markovic “People of Christ. Our Time”, which is dedicated to the fate of Christianity in the modern world and the persecution of the UOC by the kyiv authorities.

The festival program included the RT tape “I’m Alive”, “containing shocking testimonies from Mariupol residents about how Ukrainian troops destroyed the city and its inhabitants.” The film “Russophobia: A History of Hate” will also be screened, in which historians and political scientists tell how Russophobia has been cultivated for centuries and how Western politicians now use it.

Additionally, the festival will host a roundtable discussion on “Cancel Culture.” Its participants, among whom the Russian ambassador to Serbia is expected Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko and director Emir Kusturica, “will answer the question of why the collective West is up in arms against Serbia for supporting Russia and is trying to ‘cancel’ Russian culture.”
