The President of the AMA, Ana Pastorhas received the Little Mermaid Award jointly awarded for three years the Port Authority and the Real Club Náutico de Motril in recognition of people and institutions whose work has contributed to the development of Motril, the region or the province of Granada.
The prestigious awards, which This year they are celebrating their 19th editionwere presented during a grand gala attended by a broad representation of personalities from the political, cultural and social worlds of Grenada, among whom was the Government’s subdelegate in Grenada, Jose Antonio Montilla; the mayors of Motril and Granada, Luisa María García and Marifrán Carazo respectively; the president of the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Costa Tropical, Rafael Caballero, as well as the presidents of the Port Authority, José García Fuentes, and of the Real Club Náutico de Motril, Antonio Gutiérrez, who hosted the event.
Ana Pastor was distinguished for her work at the head of the Ministry of Development between 2011 and 2016, promoting actions such as the A-7 motorway that crosses the Costa Tropical and the extension of the outer dock of the Port of Motril, two actions that They contributed to the revitalization of the economy of Granada, the Andalusian Community and the rest of Spain.

In his speech, José García Fuentes, president of the Port Authority of Motril, highlighted the great work carried out by all the winners to make the Costa Tropical, and in particular Motril, “a prosperous place with a future and many opportunities for growth.”
The president of the Real Club Náutico de Motril, Antonio Gutiérrez, for his part stressed “the alliance with the port in the organization of these prizes which came to promote and enhance them.”
