Anar Rzayev: “More than five thousand taxi drivers were banned from driving in Baku”

“In Baku, more than five thousand taxi drivers who do not respect the rules have been banned from transport.”

Oku.Az This was stated by Anar Rzayev, chairman of the board of directors of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, at a public hearing on a new project for traffic organization.

According to him, passengers can contact AYNA’s “141” Call Center or their social media accounts regarding various problems they encounter in the taxi sector.

In addition, A. Rzayev noted that on various streets and avenues in Baku there are more than 130 taxi ranks. However, since most of them are not organized into attraction points, they sometimes create an obstacle to traffic: “Therefore, a complex approach is currently being applied to this issue. Work is underway to eliminate points that obstruct traffic and identify new attractions. “Taxi ranks are currently being organized in other addresses and the corresponding analyzes are being carried out.”
