The second largest amount will be intended for municipalities. They will have a budget of up to 12 million, which will be distributed among the municipalities that request help. To have, Spain clarified, ten days from the publication of the aid initiative in the Official Journal of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) to request the funds.

In addition, public funds will also be allocated for road repairs. It will be eleven million euros. And two more to repair schools of the community that were damaged by DANA.

In total, said the advisor and also spokesperson for the Andalusian Government, 285 municipalities are affected by the storm. These are the town halls who will be able to request money from the 12 million euros reserved for local administrations.

Damaged facilities

With these funds they will be able to pay for everything from repairing roads and access to sports centers or municipal facilities. which were damaged. Also repairs in parks, urban cleaning, wastewater evacuation or drinking water supply.

Town halls will have ten days to request assistance. They will then have several months to recover the aid and up to three years to carry out the work. After that, you will have a maximum period of three months to justify the repairs.
In the case of the agricultural sector, there will be aid for the repair of rural roads as well as for companies and SMEs in said economic zone, Spain announced.

Roads will receive up to eleven million euros, which will be used to repair damaged roads. Right awayHowever, only three roads are affected and none are closed due to the DANA effect.

“Speed”

The Andalusian Government has stressed that this is the way to act, “with speed and agility, close to citizens who need to solve their problems”. This contrasts with the frictions that remain between the central government and the Valencian Community.

“We must resolve the problems that have arisen, with institutional loyalty,” added the Minister of the Economy. “Needs must be met Andalusians”, he added, and not get into polemics.
