“We understand that we must support young people to facilitate their access to housing, and that is why we are going to increase the funds allocated to this mortgage guarantee program,” said Carolina España, who also recalled that the 2025 budget will also integrate the improvement of the personal income tax deductions in terms of housing in the case of young people and other groups having difficulty accessing housing.
In this sense, he explained that the deduction for the acquisition of a habitual residence will be expanded. from 5% to 6% in the case of young people under 35, people over 65, people with disabilities and victims of domestic violence or terrorism.
Also, for the same groups, the deduction of 15% for renting accommodationbut the limit is extended to 900 euros, and 1,000 in the case of disabled people.
The Andalusian government, explained Minister Carolina España, has been developing since 2019 a tax and fiscal policy “of support for families and the productive fabric“, and that in the case of these, a good part is linked to housing. Thus, he referred to the tax package on housing, which includes measures to reduce the ITP-AJD, the tax on the income of natural persons, such as the aforementioned deductions, and the improvement of inheritance and gift taxes.
These tax measures implemented by the Government of Andalusia to support housing from the beginning of 2022 represent a saving of 300 million dollarse euros each year, from which nearly 73,000 young people and nearly 200,000 families have already benefited.
