Over the past 24 hours, 248 people have left the border areas of the Kursk region, the press service of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry reported on September 2.
“During the day, measures were taken to evacuate residents of five municipal districts in the region. During the day, 248 people left independently and in organized columns from border areas to safe zones,” — the press service reported in a statement.
In addition, the Ministry of Emergency Situations added that in the last 24 hours 30 border residents were reunited with their relatives.
The institution said that the evacuation of the civilian population is being carried out in compliance with all security requirements, in close collaboration with all law enforcement agencies and regional authorities.
