The convicted man died in prison in Azerbaijan.
According to information obtained by Lent.az, the incident took place in the penitentiary center of the Baku Penitentiary Service.
Rafig Mammadov, a prisoner serving his sentence, died there.
He is reported to have died from an illness.
It should be noted that this is the 28th death in Baku prisons during 2024.
