Based on the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the competent authorities of Georgia made a decision to extradite Rauf Jafarovich Kazimov, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in accordance with the requirements of the Convention of 22 January 1993 “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Cases”.
Oku.Az reports that the Press Service of the Attorney General’s Office published information on this matter.
Thus, in the criminal case conducted by the Binagadi District Police Department of Baku, reasonable suspicions have been established that Rauf Jafarovich Kazimov has committed the crime under Article 178.3.2 (fraud by causing great damage) of the Criminal Code. After the decision was made, an international search was announced.
Rauf Kazimov was detained on the territory of Georgia and transferred to Azerbaijan on 3 September 2024 accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
