Another train accident occurred in the Czech Republic

In the Czech Republic, a passenger train collided with a locomotive. Local media reported this today, September 18.

It is reported that on the morning of 18 September a passenger train collided with a locomotive on Čuprova Street near the Prague-Liben railway station.

“The driver of the KŽC Doprava company drove past the prohibition sign on the section and collided from behind with the S2 train of the Czech Railways” – Czech police reported.

Ambulance, fire and police teams are working at the scene of the accident. Firefighters and five medical teams are on site. According to preliminary information, about 15 people have suffered minor injuries. It should be noted that Czech Railways is preparing to evacuate about 200 passengers from the scene of the accident on an evacuation train.

This is not the first accident on the Czech railway. In early June, 100 kilometres from Prague, a passenger train collided with a freight train. Four people were killed and more than twenty were injured.
