Another troop of American teachers landed in Uzbekistan

Twenty more American teachers have started teaching English in Uzbek schools and universities in the new academic year, the press service of the US Embassy in the republic reported.

According to the diplomatic mission, in the 2024-2025 academic year they will assist in teaching and learning English in 10 regions of Uzbekistan.

In 2019, the U.S. Embassy, ​​the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of Uzbekistan launched initiatives to teach English with the participation of American specialists.

The project is part of a special program of the US government.

According to the embassy, ​​since 2018, the United States has invested more than $31.2 million in teaching and learning English in Uzbekistan.

United States Ambassador to the Dominican Republic Jonathan HenickWelcoming the American teachers to Tashkent, he said they play “an integral role not only in improving English language skills, but also in strengthening cultural ties between the United States and Uzbekistan.”

Last year, 25 English teachers from the United States arrived in the Central Asian republic.
