Anti-corruption believes that proof of what Aldama said could have come from the archives

The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office believes that the evidence that would prove the accusations made by Víctor de Aldama this Thursday before the National Court could have been introduced into the archives. This is what the tax sources consulted by laSexta envisage, while admitting that to date, Anticorruption does not know that the businessman provide documents, records or evidence to the investigation into ‘Koldo affair‘. Information that arrives after the agent was released from temporary prison late this Thursday, following the confessions he made to a voluntary declaration the same morning before the judge of the National Court, Ismael Moreno.

Of course, the same sources consider it probable that the documents proving the accusations brought before the judge this Thursday were involved in the case. In this way, they appreciate that these documents they can join to the next reports from the UCO of the Civil Guard, responsible for investigations. In this sense, they insist that there is still a lot of information to analyze and many records to download.

Víctor de Aldama managed to leave provisional prison on Thursday evening after the accusations he made against several members of the government of Pedro Sanchez and the PSOE. Information which maintained that Santos Cerdan allegedly received thousands of euros for a call for tenders from a construction company, but also the chief of staff of the first vice-president and minister of Finance, Maria Jesus Montero.

Even if he has not provided proof, at least for the moment, the Anti-corruption prosecution He asked Judge Santiago Pedraz, instructor of the hydrocarbon case for which he temporarily sent Soto del Real, to release the businessman from prison. They justified their support for the request of Aldama’s defense “concerning exclusively the express gratitude that the person concerned committed the crimes with which he is accused”.

These confessions, they considered this Thursday, place the respondent “in a new situation, which distorts one of the reasons which determined the prison” and this is indeed conspired with the precautionary measures requested by the prosecutor. Some measures include passport withdrawal; set the address for notification purposes, communicate any changes thereto and provide a telephone number to always be located; or the ban on leaving the national territory without prior judicial authorization, among others.

The prosecution itself assured that it was very satisfied with this statement, which it described as “sincere.” In fact, thanks to the businessman’s confession, a qualitative leap was made in the case because Aldama revealed data that was not included in the UCO reports, such as cash payments to the former Minister of Transport, José Luis Ábalos. It is now considered that they will be included in the investigation, even if their existence is not known.
