The head of the traffic police addressed the public on the occasion of the start of the new academic year.

“The start of the new school year requires the adoption of stricter measures to protect the life and health of students, especially children and adolescents, in relation to road traffic.
In accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of the Interior, in order to increase the effectiveness of preventive measures implemented in this area, the month of security was launched in the territory of the Republic from September 10 to October 10 of this year.
“Attention, children!” Within the framework of the events to be held under the motto, it is planned to strengthen control and prevention measures in order to prevent road accidents that may occur with the participation of students, to examine road conditions in the areas where educational institutions are located, to eliminate deficiencies, especially for the implementation of educational and educational-propaganda works.
On the eve of the start of the new academic year, the General Directorate of the Traffic Police of the Ministry of the Interior wishes success to the entire educational community and at the same time calls on the population, in particular non-governmental organizations and the media, to participate in minimizing child road trauma.
