Apple’s most expensive and exclusive computer will be auctioned again

One of two Macintosh prototypes, the most expensive Apple computer ever sold at auction, will be back on sale at Bonhams on October 23, 2024.

Oku.Az it is reported with reference to Gazeta.ru.

Computer number M0001 is reported to be the first Macintosh prototype, and its distinguishing feature is that it has a 5.25-inch “Twiggy” (FileWare) drive bay instead of the 3.5-inch drive bay introduced with the Macintosh of 1984.

In 2019, M0001 sold at Bonhams for $150,075, setting a world record that still remains intact. A “Macintosh” with a 128K motherboard signed by Steve Jobs and Jeff Raskin sold for $132,049, and a “Macintosh SE” computer that Steve Jobs used in Next sold for $126,375. Currently, experts value the M0001 between 80 and 120 thousand dollars.
