The Lebanese violinists Ara Malikian, El Arrebato, Camela, Faemino and Cansado or the actors Ángel Martín and Galder Varas are some of the 36 cultural proposals proposed by the Forum Evolution in the last quarter of the year. This was announced on Wednesday by the mayor of Burgos, Cristina Ayala, who, accompanied by the president of the ProBurgos Company, César Barriada, presented the new programming of the Evolution Forum for the months of October, November and December.
“No weekend will remain without a proposal to fill the leisure agendas of the inhabitants of Burgos,” promised Ayala, highlighting the arrival of the violinist in Burgos. Ara Malikianwho will perform in the city on October 4, or other big names in the music scene like El Arrebato, Camela or Rozalén; as well as concerts tribute to groups like Queen, Abba, The Beatles, AC/DC; a show in tribute to María Dolores Pradera; as well as superb stage offerings such as the Catalan Ballet or the Kyiv Balletwhich will feature “Swan Lake” –

According to Ayala, 40,000 tickets were put on sale for these shows, and he stressed that “this will not entail any cost for municipal coffers, but will allow revenues exceeding 2,000,000 euros in terms of rentals and services of the audience”. “We managed to attract programming to a fundamental location in the city and earn income to be able to carry out other activities,” he celebrated.
Likewise, he described “record number” the number of cultural proposals which will take place in Burgos over the next three months, and assured that “they have nothing to envy of the programming of Madrid or any other place”. Furthermore, he indicated that the activities of this last quarter of the year represent 55 percent more activity than during the same period of the previous year.
“With the management that we are carrying out during this legislature, the Forum acquires an increasingly relevant social importance, to the extent that it is capable of evolving to be designed as a meeting center”, indicated the mayor, who highlighted that it is a “dynamic space, in the heart of the city, which reminds us that culture is part of the DNA of Burgos”.
