In Omsk, the concert of the leader of the Night Snipers group, Diana Arbenina, was canceled. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Podem”.
The performance was supposed to take place on November 23 at the G-Drive Arena. In recent days, those who bought tickets for the artist’s concert began to receive messages about the cancellation of the concert “for technical reasons.”
Representatives of the concert hall said that the decision to cancel the concert was made by the organizer.
“There were no tickets for sale for Diana Arbenina on our official websites. The organizer did not provide us with any tickets or information. G-Drive Arena only offers its own venue for the concert. All questions should be directed to the organizer.” — representatives of the concert hall sent the question.
The Ministry of Culture of the Omsk region also assured that they had nothing to do with the cancellation of the event.
“We are not responsible for canceling concerts. The Ministry of Culture does not have options to cancel commercial concerts in commercial organizations. “The organizers canceled the concert.” – the department emphasized.
At the same time, a message of gratitude to the government of the Omsk region “for his personal civic position and willingness to interact” appeared on the social network account of the public movement “Council of Atamans of the Cossack People.” Attached to the post is news about the cancellation of Arbenina’s concert.
Recall that at the beginning of October the movement sent an appeal to the administration of the Omsk region demanding that the Arbenina concert be banned. Social activists noted that Arbenina supported Ukraine and apologized to kyiv while “the Cossacks rose up to defend Donbass.”
“Who provided her with a platform and invited her to Omsk? Say the names so that the residents of Omsk know who betrays them in the rear while our brothers fight at the front. “We demand to cancel the concert and apologize to the residents of Omsk.” – said the letter addressed to the governor of Omsk Vitaly Jotsenko.
Marching leader of the movement Vladislav Bulankin He stated that the Cossacks had not yet received a response to their appeal, but hoped they would be “heard.”
“Local media write that the concert was canceled following our request, but we never received an official response. Because of this, we cannot confirm or deny. Now, if you notified us in writing that yes, based on your appeal…” – said the hetman.
He added that on November 8, a round table was held with the participation of representatives of the Omsk government, the Cossacks expressed their position. And those present at the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Omsk Region, the Deputy Minister of Internal Policy and a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, thanked the activists for their reaction, for helping the government choose the right path. .
As reported EADailyIn 2014, at a concert in kyiv, Arbenina not only actively expressed her support for Ukraine, but also apologized to the Ukrainian public for those Russian artists who did not make similar statements. However, already in 2018, the singer tried to avoid answering questions about the events in Donbass, declaring that “she was not on anyone’s side” and “no one knows the truth.” In April 2022, at a concert in Chelyabinsk, the leader of the Night Snipers performed the anti-war song “Don’t be silent.”
Earlier this year, Arbenina’s concerts in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Vladivostok were cancelled. According to the singer, this happened at the last moment. She herself considered the cancellation of the performances “anarchy.”
Last fall, his concerts in Yoshkar-Ola and Saratov were canceled.
