Oku.AzAccording to information provided by , Russian senior psychiatrist-psychotherapist, specialist in psychocatalysis Alexander Kudryashov spoke about this to Aif.ru.

According to him, they can be strong and recurrent psychological states related to feelings of guilt or resentment:

“In such situations, a person constantly maintains internal dialogues with his imaginary opponent. Moreover, imaginary conversations sometimes occupy the mind so much that people feel like they are actually hearing another person’s voice. In this case, not only tranquilizers are used, but above all psychotherapy can calm the internal interlocutor.”

He said prolonged lack of sleep can cause voices, which is equivalent to alcohol or drug poisoning.

“In addition, voices can be the result of head trauma and brain diseases, such as strokes, aneurysms or tumors. Neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia or Alzheimer’s sometimes cause this disturbing symptom,” adds the psychiatrist.

He stressed that people who face such a problem should not be immediately diagnosed with schizophrenia. According to him, only a psychiatrist can do this after careful examination.
