He Arguédas Town Hall launched a call for tenders for a complete renovation project of the Santa Bárbara and San Isidro streetswith the aim of modernizing and conditioning these roads.
The work, with a total budget of 433,878.45 euros, covers road paving and sidewalks and the overall improvement of supply, sanitation and electricity, telecommunications and public lighting networks, which will move from overhead to underground.
Work to be carried out and objectives of the intervention
More specifically, the work includes the complete replacement of the current coatingwhich is in poor condition with multiple cracks and deformations. In its place, a new concrete paving will be installed, to provide a surface of greater durability and resistance.
The roadway and sidewalks will be repaved at a pace same level, establish a zone of coexistence between pedestrians and vehicles. The sidewalk will feature details in the form of concrete paving stones, which will aesthetically integrate with the urbanization of the neighborhood.
Improvement of service infrastructure
In addition to the paving, it will be carried out a total update of the underground infrastructure. The water supply and sanitation networks, which currently present wear and operating problems, will be completely renovated. In the case of the sewerage network, PVC pipes located in the center of the road will be used and the supply network will be made with high-strength materials, such as ductile iron and high-density polyethylene. This redesign and modernization aims to avoid overloads, avoid future problems and improve the efficiency of services to residents.
Likewise, the telecommunications, electricity and public lighting networkswhich will eliminate overhead wiring, thereby improving both the aesthetics and safety of the streets.
As the mayor of Arguedas explains, Jose Luis Sanzonce the works are completed, scheduled within two months from the award, “Santa Bárbara and San Isidro streets will provide a renovated, accessible and safe environment”.
The improvement of floor coverings and service infrastructure will not only contribute to a better quality of life for the residents of Arguedas, but will also increase urban attractiveness. “Not only because of the improved comfort, safety and efficiency, but also beautify and modernize Arguedas“, said Sanz in this sense.
