The Local Police of Poio (Pontevedra) arrested a man who dragged a woman hanging from the window after hitting a vehicle and fleeing. The arrest took place Saturday afternoon, around 7:30 p.m., after an “arduous and intense investigation,” according to the police. The man, who lives in the same city, is charged with offense against road safety, reckless driving and offense of injury and damage.
The events occurred last Monday on San Xoán Avenue, in this town of Pontevedra, when a driver collided with a car. Was a minor accident, but the driver fled without providing insurance information.
After that, a woman, close to the owner of the damaged vehicle, followed the person responsible for the motorcycle accident until he manages to stop tourism, as reported by Europa Press.
However, the driver ignored the woman’s requests for insurance information and drove off with the young woman hanging out the window. The woman was injured after being dragged 51 metres and the driver managed to escape. This is “extremely dangerous behaviour with a clear disregard for the woman’s life”, according to local police.
On the same Monday that the events occurred, the agents opened an investigation to try to find this individual who, despite the social repercussions that his action had, both among the neighbors and in the local media, He did not report to the police station, the local police station or any other agency at any time.
