Brazilian police arrested a man for make guns with a 3D printer as part of an operation based on information provided from Spain by agents of the General Information Commission.
As reported by the National and Federal Police of Brazil, the arrest took place in the town of Araraquara due to the detained man’s alleged relationship with a group on messaging applications in which there were “dozens of strangers” from different countries” and in which they shared information about the process of homemade weapons manufacturing.
The arrest was accompanied by four search warrants which allowed the seizure of military equipmentincluding a homemade submachine gun and various ammunition.
The operation was supported by the International Force to Combat Arms and Ammunition Trafficking (FICTA) and the National Secretariat of Public Security of the Ministry of Justice and National Security Investigations (HSI).
