The “Notepad” and “Paint” programs in “Windows 11” got new functions based on artificial intelligence.
Oku.Azaccording to the company blog.
Now “Notepad” users can rewrite sentences using artificial intelligence, change their length and tone. Users can select a part of the text or the entire text, select the “Rewrite” item in the context menu, then items with the ability to shorten, lengthen or change the tone of the text will appear in the dialog window.
Notepad updates are available to Windows Insiders in the US, France, UK, Canada, Italy, and Germany.
Paint has received new tools for editing images using artificial intelligence, including a generative fill feature that lets you add new objects to an image based on text. A generative eraser feature was also released for test users, allowing you to remove objects from images and fill in empty spaces.
The feature to add new objects will initially be available to test users on Copilot+ certified PCs, and the second feature will be available to all participants in the Windows 11 early evaluation program.
It’s unclear when the updated Notepad and Paint will be available to all Windows 11 users.
