Twenty-six people were killed in Lebanon and 144 injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes in different parts of the country over the past 24 hours, the Emergency Situations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported on Saturday.
“As a result of Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon on Friday, 26 people were killed and 144 injured. “These attacks are part of an ongoing conflict that has left 2,255 people dead and 10,524 injured since the aggression began.” – the center said in a statement.
At the same time, according to their data, the most people – seventeen – were killed in southern Lebanon, where the most intense fighting is taking place, and 62 were injured. Thus, as a result of the attacks on the city of Nabatiyah, three people were killed and 41 were injured.
Additionally, in the Bekaa region of eastern Lebanon, one person was killed and 22 injured, and in Baalbek Hermel, five people were killed and 19 injured.
The center noted that airstrikes have intensified in recent weeks and have affected several areas of Lebanon.
Israel has been carrying out a ground operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon since October 1 and continues aerial bombardments.
