At least 23 dead and 15 missing following the effects of three tropical storms in the Philippines

At least 23 people have died and 15 are still missing in the Philippines following rains and landslides caused by the passage of three tropical storms, emergency services reported on Thursday.

The storms Benbica, Generator And Pulasan They hit various areas of the Philippine archipelago between Friday last week and this Wednesday and left heavy rains, especially on the southern island of Mindanao and the island of Luzon, to the north and where Manila is located.

These weather events were preceded by storm Yagi, which killed 21 people in the Philippines when it passed through the country between September 1 and 3.

Later, en route to Vietnam, Yagi strengthened to become the most powerful typhoon recorded in Asia this year and caused floods, surges and landslides that killed about 300 people in the Indochina country, a dozen in Thailand, four in Laos and about 220 in Myanmar.
