At least 23 people have died and 15 are still missing in the Philippines following rains and landslides caused by the passage of three tropical storms, emergency services reported on Thursday.
The storms Benbica, Generator And Pulasan They hit various areas of the Philippine archipelago between Friday last week and this Wednesday and left heavy rains, especially on the southern island of Mindanao and the island of Luzon, to the north and where Manila is located.
In its report released on Thursday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said 23 people died, 13 were injured and 15 are being sought by emergency teams.
The Mimaropa region, in the west of the country and covering the tourist island of Palawan, is the area with the most victims, with nine dead and 12 missing.
