Israeli Air Force planes and drones attacked 18 settlements in eastern Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, killing more than 60 people and wounding about 100, a Lebanese rescue service source told RIA Novosti.
“Enemy planes and drones bombed 18 settlements in the Bekaa Valley. So far, 61 people have died and around 100 have been injured. These are not definitive figures.” – said the agency’s interlocutor.
Search and rescue operations have been hampered in several settlements due to continued airstrikes, the source said. Debris is still being removed in some settlements, where there may still be survivors.
In the last 24 hours, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, 38 people died and 124 were injured. On Monday morning, neighborhoods in southern Lebanon’s largest city, Tyre, came under massive attack.
