At least one person died and eight were injured on Sunday after a man was stabbed at a bus station in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba, according to Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom. .
The fatal victim was a police officer, according to popular Israeli Channel 12, who had been treated in critical condition by emergency services but succumbed to his injuries, while the other injured were taken to Soroka Hospital in the city.
The police spoke of a “suspected terrorist attack” and declared that they had killed the attacker at the scene of the attack.
