The mayor of Toledo, Carlos Velázquez, visited the site and confirmed that a “safety zone” was set up and that the AVE Madrid-Toledo was also paralyzed, but that the service has already been reopened , thanks to the action of the firefighters. A security perimeter was also established that does not allow approaching at a distance of approximately 500 meters from the affected area, which was reopened around 2 p.m., with the exception of access to the interior of the Alcaliber factory.
Workers at the affected factory refused to make statements at the scene.
