After the sanction of the Competition Committee of three matches with the partial closure of the lower southern fund for the events that occurred during the derby against Real Madrid, Atlético has issued a statement in which it informs that will appeal this sanction before the appeals committee.
The red and white team, which “reiterates its condemnation of the incidents” given its “Zero tolerance policy against violence”considers that the sanction is “disproportionate”.
“We believe that the unacceptable behavior of a few cannot lead to such excessive sanctions against a large majority who have committed no fault“, explains the club in the aforementioned text.
In turn, this affects the expulsion, to date, of three partners and working with the Police to identify and locate other culprits in the throwing of objects in the second half of the derby.
